Professional Biography
Janie Earle has had a passion for nursing since the second grade and has held a variety of healthcare roles over the past 20 years. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Janie has worked as a medical assistant in primary care and urology clinics, an intermediate EMT in emergency medicine, a local hospital float pool registered nurse, a clinical educator, a house supervisor, and an internal medicine nurse care manager. She completed her first bachelor's degree in Zoology/ Chemistry and then continued her education receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and finally her Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner.
Janie is a board-certified Geriatrician and specializes in Dementia. Her doctoral project was centered on a care process model for dementia in the primary and internal medicine setting. As a Geriatrician, Janie loves providing care for patients in their home setting and believes it is the best way to provide holistic care. She focuses on four aspects of elderly care; medications, mentation, mobility and What Matter’s Most.

She is dedicated to geriatrics and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Utah Geriatric Society and is a member of the US Strategic Council for the Pharmaceutical company Eisai which is developing new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease. In addition to her outstanding patient care and dedication to improve geriatric health through service Janie is a professor of gerontology at Utah Tech.

In her little spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children, and 2 large dogs, Luna and Bella. She feels motivated by the idea that she can do hard things and has participated in multiple triathlons and Ironman competitions. Having the opportunity to provide exceptional care for patients at the end of their lives motivates her to live life to the fullest.
